Save The Date

Føroyar/Faroe Islands won the right to host this year’s edition of the Pan-ArcticVision Song Contest after they were voted by last year’s viewing audience “The place in the Arctic that would be the best place to host the next edition of Pan-ArcticVision”.

What is Pan-ArcticVision?

Created by Amund Sjølie Sveen, and held annually since 2023, Pan-ArcticVision is a song contest that aims to promote unity amongst communities from around the circumpolar north, based on the format of the Eurovision Song Contest. Regions that participate in the contest include Alaska, Sápmi, Iceland, Nunavut, Kalaallit Nunaat (Greenland). Russian arctic exiles are also invited to take part in the competition.

The competition doesn’t follow the traditional Eurovision format, instead crowning a winning song for three different categories, which are:

  • Most revolutionary song
  • Song that gives the most feeling of community and togetherness
  • Most Arctic Song

Sámi artists have taken part in the competition since its inception, Linus Johnsen’s song “Trineža luohti” took the price for the “Song that gives the most feeling of community and togetherness” in 2025 whilst representing both Sápmi and Nord-Norge, with Emil Karlsen’s “Omasvuotna” achieving the same feat the year prior.

Pan-ArcticVision held an open-call for artists from Alaska, Yukon, Canada’s North Western Territories, Nunavut, Kalaallit Nunaat/Greenland, Føroyar/Faroe Islands, Sápmi, Nord-Norge/Northern Norway and Norra Sverige/Northern Sweden.

The show is streamed live on the Pan-ArcticVision YouTube channel.
